The American Kennel Club's
Creating GREAT family dogs SINCE 2009!
These classes are designed to do two things:
1. to socialize the dog and the handlers with dogs and people - this goes a long way to eliminating unwanted behaviour like reactivity towards other dogs or humans.
2. to teach our dogs how to live with us in human society. These include very basic skills like sit, stay, come when called, jumping, control of barking and to limit biting. Plus, as most dogs are now kept inside, house training (aka "Potty" training) is essential.
These are all covered week by week, topic by topic. Syllabus here.
If by the end of your first class you decide this training doesn't meet your needs just let us know and we will refund your fees in full. https://www.puppytraining.my/#faq

We can't guarantee we will do everything - but we'll try!
Richard first started teaching group classes for puppies here in Malaysia about 18 years ago. In 2011 he set up www.PuppyTraining.my at Jaya One PJ, and in 2021 moved his classes from there to SPCA Selangor in Ampang.
"I've always felt that the primary focus of most of the dog owners taking their dogs to classes in Malaysia was not to enter competitions but simply to learn how to enjoy their pet as a pet, a friend and a companion. Our aim is to create dogs that are welcome everywhere!"
Richard is a member of the Malaysian Kennel Association (MKA) and an authorized evaluator for the American Kennel Club's Canine Good Citizen (CGC) and Trick Dog programs. Now training at SPCA Selangor, Ampang.

Richard has had dogs all his life, some of which have appeared on TV, film and stage. Two of them are here and here.
WHY GROUP CLASSES?
We (try to) train the OWNERS!
Simply sending your dog away for training doesn't always have good long-term results. Once the dog is returned, the owner remains doing the same things that caused the problems in the first place, and quickly - sometimes immediately - the dog returns to his old habits.
CANINE GOOD CITIZEN
By the end of the classes you and your dog should be able to pass the ten items of the AKC's CGC Test - and you may take it with us at your convenience, at no extra cost, after class during one of our later sessions.
TRICK DOG by AKC
By the end of the Trick Dog classes you and your dog should be able to qualify for the AKC's Trick Dog Cert - and you may take it as you go through the classes, or later during one of our later sessions.
YOU CAN ALWAYS COME BACK!
Graduates welcome
Come back and join us for socialization anytime.
Catch up with your friends.
Compare notes, plan walks and staycations.
Problems? Questions?
PERFECTION?
Is my dog perfect by the end of the classes? No, but the owners are a lot better! By showing the owners what to do - and what NOT to do - they either avoid problems as the dog matures - or in the case of older dogs, learn how to re-train them.
SATISFACTION GUARANTEE
Love it or your money back!
If by the end of your first class you decide this training doesn't meet your needs we will refund in full - no questions asked!
